THE SNOW TRAIN
The snow train takes you to Moutiers just half an hour by road to Val Thorens. The trains are direct from either London Waterloo or Ashford International running every weekend from 23 rd December.
Night or Day:
You can choose from day time trains which take approximately 8 hours or the overnight train which leaves Friday evening and gets you to Moutiers Saturday morning. Returning on the night train gets you an additional day on the Saturday and arrives early Sunday morning back in the UK.
However they get booked very quickly so plan and book early.

OTHER TRAINS
There are alternative trains which depart from London Waterloo and Ashford International. These are eurostar trains to Paris.
Once you arrive at Paris Nord you will need to leave this train and travel across Paris by taxi or metro to Paris Gare de Lyon to catch the TGV. The TGV then takes you to Chambery where you will need to change platform and wait for half an hour for the local train service to Moutier.
All in all a rather torturous journey.
There is another route which requires changes at Lille, Lyon and Chambery but takes much longer.
